Radiometrics measures the natural source gamma radiation emitted by materials from the surface to some meters below. The method breaks down the energy emissions in three elements: potassium uranium and thorium. Radiometrics is used as a mapping tool for various types of intrusives, as well as to detect possible potassium alteration and hydrothermal alteration processes.
